Rocky Mountain Hardware Project Specialists

You've already chosen Rocky Mountain Hardware. What you're choosing now is who executes it.

Solid bronze, cast to order in Idaho, built to your exact specifications — hardware you choose once and live with every day for decades. Precision hardware deserves precision specification, and that is our entire practice: getting every detail right before anything reaches the foundry.

Send us your plans, door schedule, or product list — a Rocky Mountain Hardware specialist reviews everything and returns a line-item quote with confirmed specifications. 📞 1-800-257-9085 · Start your project review →

The short version

  • Authorized Rocky Mountain Hardware dealer — 21 years. Full catalog, factory warranty, direct line to the foundry.
  • Every specification confirmed before production. Functions, mechanisms, strikes, prep — reviewed by a specialist, not a shopping cart.
  • Full project coordination. We work directly with your builder, door company, and designer so every detail agrees before casting.
  • Remote-first execution, nationwide. Most of our projects are specified, verified, and delivered without a single in-person visit.
  • One specialist, start to finish. A name and a direct line — from first review to delivery day, and for the warranty claim years from now.

Our practice

Twenty-one years of Rocky Mountain Hardware projects come down to managing three things well:

Specification accuracy. Every function, locking mechanism, strike, and door-prep detail is confirmed — with your door company where it matters — before anything is submitted to RMH. Handing, backsets, door thickness: questions most customers can't answer on day one, and never need to answer alone.

Project & lead-time management. Made-to-order hardware has to be ordered at the right moment in your build. We manage the sequence — order timing against your construction schedule, production tracking at the foundry, delivery timed to your site — so hardware never holds a project hostage.

Design solutions. When the drawing calls for something the catalog doesn't show, we work Rocky Mountain Hardware's options — finishes, textures, configurations, and their custom capabilities — until the design intent is met. RMH built its reputation on never saying no to a design. Neither do we.

(The technical details behind all of this live in our Ordering Guide.)

🟩 How we take orders — specification review isn't a service tier or an upsell. It's simply how every order leaves our desk, at no charge, at any project size.

How your project runs

  1. Send what you have. Architectural plans, a door schedule, photos, or just a product list — any starting point works.
  2. Specialist review. We confirm every specification, resolve open questions with you — and with your door company where it matters. Expect first contact within 24 business hours.
  3. Line-item quote, confirmed specs. You approve exactly what will be cast — then we submit to RMH, track production, and coordinate delivery to your site.

Executed remotely, by design

Nearly all of our projects are executed entirely remotely — hardware schedules specified, confirmed, and delivered to custom homes across the country without an in-person meeting. The process is built for it: finish sample chips ship to your job site or studio (passed through at RMH's cost), specifications are confirmed on paper before casting, and production is tracked until the crates arrive. Precision happens in the specification — not in a showroom.

For designers, builders & architects

  • Hardware schedules quoted line for line — send the schedule; we flag anything that needs a second look before production
  • Door-company coordination as standard practice — prep confirmed against the hardware order, direct with your supplier
  • Order timing built around your construction schedule — we tell you when each package needs to be released to arrive with your build
  • Trade pricing — quoted on every project; ask us to set up your account
  • Complete schedules beyond RMH — as Hardware by Design, we build full project hardware schedules across 80+ luxury lines

After you order

Production tracked at the foundry, lead times confirmed per line, delivery coordinated to your home or job site. And the warranty is ours to handle: Rocky Mountain Hardware backs its bronze with a lifetime guarantee against defects and 50 years on internal mechanisms — if anything ever needs attention, you call us, not a warranty department. Keep your invoice; we manage it with RMH directly.

About our name, and RMH pricing

Rocky Mountain Hardware requires every dealer to display manufacturer list prices online — so the prices on any dealer's website, including ours, are RMH's list prices. Our name says Discount because your quote won't say list: we offer trade and project pricing on every order. But 21 years of RMH projects has taught us where dealers actually differ: pricing differences between dealers are small. Execution differences are not.

Frequently asked questions

Is Discount Rocky Mountain Hardware an authorized Rocky Mountain Hardware dealer?
Yes — we have been an authorized Rocky Mountain Hardware dealer for 21 years, since 2005, with access to the full RMH catalog, factory warranty support, and direct coordination with the foundry in Idaho.

Do you coordinate with builders and door companies?
On every project where it matters. Door prep, machining, and hardware specifications have to agree — we confirm them directly with your door supplier before anything is cast.

How does project pricing work?
Send your plans or product list and we return a line-item quote with trade or project pricing and confirmed specifications — typically within 24 business hours.

Do you ship nationwide?
Yes. We ship nationwide, coordinated to your home or job site, on every project.

Still comparing dealers?

Fair enough — here's the honest checklist we'd use:

  • Do they confirm every function, mechanism, strike, and prep detail before submitting — or does the order go straight through unreviewed?
  • Will you talk to the same specialist throughout, or a ticket queue?
  • Do they explain that RMH is made to order — and plan your order timing around your build?
  • Will they coordinate with your door company before it's cast in bronze?

Whoever you choose, insist on those. If you'd like them from us:
